It is used for various purposes like business, vacation, employment, educational visit, and family visit. On the other side, a diplomatic passport is issued to special persons and high officials representing the Indian government and is known as a type D passport. It is used for ambassadors, diplomats, senior government officials, members of parliament, and individuals traveling for diplomatic reasons.
Government employees will get a diplomatic passport for official purposes and it has their benefits. On the other hand, a standard passport is for normal people to travel abroad.
