How to Renew Indian Passport?

To renew your Indian passport offline, you need to visit the official website of the Passport Seva Kendra, and below the ‘forms and affidavits’ section, you need to download an application form and take a printout of the application form. There, you need to fill out the application form with all the details, attach all the necessary documents, and pay the fees with all the supporting documents at the district passport cell. At last, you will get an acknowledgment slip after the successful submission of your application.

To schedule a Indian Passport renewal appointment, you need to go to the official Passport Seva Portal, select the ‘view saved and submitted application’, then click on the ‘Pay and schedule’ option, select your preferred time and slot, and pay the fees for the appointment using a credit card, debit card, net banking or through the SBI challan. Then, after payment, you will get an application reference number for the successful passport renewal appointment.

For Indian passport renewal, you need to pay 1500 INR for the 36-page booklet, and 3500 INR for the 36-page booklet in the Tatkaal scheme. For the 60-page booklet, normal fees are 2000 INR, and for the Tatkaal scheme for a 60-page booklet, you need to pay 4000 INR.

You need to submit your identity proof, photographs, birth certificates, declaration form, old copy of Indian passport with first and last pages copy, proof of address, such as Aadhar card, voter ID, utility bill, or water bill, proof of date of birth, like birth certificate, school leaving certificate, and PAN card.
