India does not allow citizens to hold dual citizenship. According to the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955, it is written that an Indian citizen cannot hold dual citizenship. If you want to get the citizenship of a foreign country, then you need to apply for a renunciation of Indian citizenship to get the foreign country's citizenship. You need to fill out the application form and upload all the documents for the Indian surrender of your Passport and pay the fees. After a few weeks, you will get your Indian surrender certificate and easily acquire the foreign citizenship.

The normal processing time for the Indian surrender certificate in the UK is about 8-10 weeks,  which also depends on the application details and documents attached to it. If all the documents and details are correct, then the applicant will get quick processing of their surrender certificate, and if they have uploaded wrong documents and filled incorrect information in the application form, then the processing time can be delayed.
