Hi, so if you apply for a normal passport, then it will take around 10-15 working days for processing and will cost Rs 1,500 for 36 pages and Rs 2,000 for 60 pages. Now, in case you opt for the Tatkal service, then you will get your Indian passport in less than a week, but you will have to pay additional charges for that, and in this case, a 36-page passport will cost you around Rs 3,500 and and a 60-page passport will cost you Rs 4,000.
You will have to pay Rs 1,500 online when filling out the form. However, at the passport office, they might ask you whether you want to take a passport cover or an sms service, and if you choose to say yes, then you might have to pay an additional fee for the same.
As far as I know, you only have to spend rs 1500 to get an indian passport. Apart from that, you don't need to pay money anywhere else, including the police who come for verification, do not ask for money, so neither offer them nor pay them if they ask you to.
Sharing my experience with you all, so at first I applied online at the passport seva app and I paid the normal required fee of Rs 2000 because I chose the 60-page passport booklet, and I didn't opt for the expedited processing option. Then, I paid nearly 500-1,000 for police verification. So in total, I paid approximately 3,000 rupees for a normal application.
As per my knowledge, the cost of getting an Indian passport varies based on the passport type and the processing method you choose. So, if you apply for a normal 36-page passport, then the application fee will be Rs 1,500 for standard processing and Rs 3,500 for Tatkaal processing. If you choose the large 60-page passport, then the application fee will be Rs 2,000 for standard processing and Rs 4,000 for expedited Tatkaal processing. Also, there might be additional charges as well for police verification and other miscellaneous services.
Hi, the fee for applying for an indian passport for a minor under the age of 15-18 years with 10-year validity is rs 3500 for 36 pages and rs 4000 for 60 pages.
