How Do I Check if My US Passport is Ready?

To check whether your US passport is ready or not, you need to visit the VFS Global and search for Track your passport application, then you have to enter your reference number, which is also known as the ARN number, and application ID, then you have to click on the option to view your passport status.

    Here are the different meanings of each status: 

    • If your application status is showing on hold, it means your US passport application is currently on hold due to some missing information or deficiencies. In that case, you need to check your email regularly to get updated about your application. 
    • Invalid output: If your application is showing invalid output, then it means that the department has not viewed your US passport application, but processed on the VFS system. 
    • Another status is that your application is forwarded to the embassy, which means that your US passport application has been successfully sent to the embassy for further processing. 
    • If the status shows that your application has been dispatched, then it means your application has been successfully shipped and way to your home.
