The OCI card is an immigration status that allows foreign nationals of Indian origin to live, study, or stay in India for an indefinite period. On the other hand, a PIO card is issued to a foreign citizen who holds an Indian passport and has Indian ancestry through their great-grandparents, grandparents, or parents, thereby qualifying as a citizen of India.

If we talk about who is better between OCI and PIO, then OCI is the best choice for individuals, as it provides equal rights as an NRI in the economic, educational, and financial sectors, and allows foreign nationals of Indian origin to work, stay, or live in India for an indefinite time without reporting the duration of stay.

I would also agree with the statement above because, as an OCI cardholder, I receive many benefits, including multiple visa-free entries in India, equal fares on domestic flights, and the ability to work as a doctor, advocate, pharmacist, chartered accountant, architect, and nurse.
