I recently applied for the conversion, and they mentioned it might take around 4 to 6 weeks because of the increase in the volume of applications before the deadline. If you are reading this, stop delaying and apply for your PIO to OCI conversion today.
For me, it took about six weeks in total. I did submit everything perfectly, but later got an email asking to submit a clear photograph, which caused a slight delay. So, the timeframe may vary based on your application as well.
I recently completed my PIO to OCI conversion in Sweden, and it was quick. It took exactly 3 weeks for me to get my OCI card from the day I submitted my application. I made sure to submit everything perfectly in order, and I think being careful with the application really helped me with processing time. Also, don't keep procrastinating the conversion process because the deadline is 2025.
Waiting for my application which I applied for 1 week ago, looks like it will be processed soon by the VFS Global Center.

We recently converted our entire family's PIO to OCI here in Sweden. It took us nearly 5 weeks to receive the cards. The only big task was to make sure that everything was perfect because we were four members, including two minors. Any mismatch or mistake would have caused delays, but luckily, everything went smoothly.
