I recently became a UK citizen and also received my OCI cards, one for me and the second for my husband. We got a four-year assignment to work in India. Considering this, I am planning to relocate there, and one of the best things is that I do not have to deal with the lengthy visa application process.
It is great to have an OCI card by your side. It makes travelling in India easy without applying for a visa. In addition, with this by your side, you do not need to ask anyone before extending your stay in the country.
Well, after receiving the OCI card, you not all get visa-free entry in India but also get equal economic and financial rights like Non-resident Indians for lifetime. For instance, you can buy or own properties in India, do business or work, and have other rights as well. The only exceptions are that you cannot take part in political elections, have no jobs in the government sector, voting rights, or more.
An OCI card is a small step down from many nations that freely allow dual citizenship to people. If anything, the country should navigate on the other side and make it simpler to be a dual citizen.

With an OCI card, now you can easily own a house or conduct a business in India. However, it did not allow buying any plantation property, like agricultural land and farmhouse.
