I'm traveling from San Francisco to India next week and completed the Digital e-Arrival Card yesterday evening. The submission appeared successful, and I received an application reference number on the screen.
However, when I log back into the portal to check the status, nothing is showing. The page either remains blank or says no application found. I also haven't received any confirmation email or QR code yet.
This is making me nervous because India's Digital e-Arrival Card is now mandatory for foreign nationals and OCI cardholders traveling to India. The QR code is supposed to be presented during immigration clearance after arrival.
I'm an OCI cardholder and my flight is in four days. Has anyone else experienced the e-Arrival Card India status not showing after submission?
I traveled from Australia recently and experienced something similar. I had saved my application reference number, which turned out to be useful. After waiting a few hours, I checked again and the status was available. I didn't submit a second application because I was worried it might create duplicate records.
I had the same issue last month while traveling from the UK. My application submitted successfully, but the status page remained blank for several hours. By the next morning, everything appeared normally, and I was able to download my QR code. It seemed like the portal just needed some time to update.
I traveled from London to Chennai last month and noticed the portal was behaving inconsistently. At one point it couldn't find my application, but a few hours later it was available again.
I also switched from my phone to a laptop because the mobile browser wasn't displaying everything correctly. After signing in again, I could see the status without any issues.
Based on my experience, temporary portal problems can happen, especially if a lot of people are using the system. I'd still verify the latest instructions if the issue continues for more than a day.
Based on my experience, the status page isn't always updated immediately after submission. I completed my e-Arrival Card from Singapore and kept refreshing the portal because I thought something had gone wrong. It eventually showed the correct status the next day without me having to submit a new application.
I'd avoid submitting another application straight away unless you're instructed to do so. If you already have a confirmation email or acknowledgement number, that's usually a good sign that your submission was received. Requirements and portal behavior can change, so if the status continues not to appear close to your travel date, it's a good idea to verify the situation through the official support channels.

I flew from the US earlier this month. The status didn't appear immediately, but I had received the on-screen submission confirmation. I cleared my browser cache, logged in again later, and everything was visible. If your status still doesn't appear after some time, it's probably worth contacting the official support team instead of submitting a new application.
