What is E-PAN card?

E-PAN card is a Digital version of the PAN card, which has a 10-digit number, and it is used for various financial and identification purposes. It is simply a traditional version of a PAN card, which is issued by the Income Tax Department. It is a paperless application process that helps in various purposes like tax filings, opening bank accounts, and buying or selling properties.

    To apply for an Instant e-PAN card, you need to visit the official website of the Income Tax e-filing and select the ' Instant e-PAN' on the homepage of the website. Then, you need to enter your Aadhar number and enter the OTP that you will get on your registered mobile number, and after entering the OTP, you will get your Instant e-PAN card at your given email address.

    You can apply for an e-PAN card online through the official NSDL or UTIITSL website by selecting the option to not receive a physical PAN card. Then, you need to enter the details in your e-PAN card application and upload all the required documents, and submit the application form online. After submitting your application, you need to pay the fees, and after that, you will get an Acknowledgement number, which will help you to track the e-PAN card application. After processing, your e-PAN card will be sent directly to your registered email address.
