What is the Processing Time for PAN Card Application?

Here is the list of documents that I have submitted to get my PAN card in just 48 hours.

For the proof of Identity, I have submitted: 

• An Aadhaar card
• Passport 
• Voter ID
• Any Photo ID issues by the Central government or the state government. 

For proof of Date of birth: 

• A Birth certificate
• Marticulation certificate
• passport
• A signed affidavit of date of birth. 
• Marriage certificate
• Domicile certificate. 

For the address proof: 

• Statement of bank account
• Spouse's passport
• Property registration document
• The latest 3-month-old utility bills

Submitting these documents will lead to a smooth application process, which will result in the fast delivery of my PAN card. 

Here is the simple application process that I have used to get my PAN card in 48 hours. 

Step 1: Go to the Protean website to apply for a PAN card. 

Step 2: Now, click on the "Apply Now" button on the home page below the 'Application for allotment of New PAN' section. 

Step 3: Enter all the required information in the PAN card application form, like name, application type, email, mobile number, date of birth, and then click on the submit button. 

Step 4: After submitting, you will get a reference number by which you can continue filing your PAN card application. 

Step 5: Now, you need to select the mode of submission as e-sign through the digitally e-KYC and select no for the Physical PAN card application. 

Step 6: Enter all the information in the PAN card application, like personal details, contact details, and AO information. 

Step 7: You need to upload all the supporting documents for the PAN application and pay the required fees for the application. 

After you submit the online PAN application, you will get an acknowledgement number through which you can see the status of your PAN card application and wait for the processing of your PAN card. In the next 48 hours, you will get your PAN card at your provided registered email address. 

For the normal PAN card application, the processing time is generally between 15 days. However, if you want to get your PAN card quickly, then you can apply for a PAN card without a physical PAN, which you will get in just 48 hours after submitting your PAN application online.
