Yes, you will need to update your new Indian passport details in your OCI card if you are under the age of 20 and have issued a new passport. If you are 50 years of age or above and obtain a new passport, it is not mandatory to renew your OCI card. However, you can update your OCI card and add new passport details to your OCI through the official OCI services website.

If you're above 20 years old, you only need to renew your OCI card once after getting a new passport after turning 20.

Here is the full application process to update your OCI card details with your new passport. First, you need to go to the official website of the OCI services, then you need to click on the OCI miscellaneous application, then fill out a new application by entering all the essential information, such as passport number linked with OCI, date of birth, and select your application type as Passport particular updation. (Also, if you only want to update your passport details in your OCI card, then it is free of cost.) After that, you ned to click on the Passport particular updation, then upload all the related documents, like a copy of the new passport, a copy of the OCI card, and a copy of your Old passport, and submit your application, and wait for the processing of your OCI card with the new updated passport.  In the given time, you can check the status of your OCI application.
