I recently submitted my India e-Arrival Card for an upcoming trip from the USA to India. After receiving the confirmation and QR code, I realized that I may have entered some incorrect information in the application.
The mistake isn't related to my passport number, but I noticed that the address where I'll be staying in India is incomplete. I also think I may have entered the wrong local contact number. My flight is scheduled in four days, and now I'm worried that these errors could create problems when I arrive.
I've logged back into the portal several times, but I can't find any option to edit or update the submitted e-Arrival Card. I can view the application details, but everything appears locked after submission.
Has anyone successfully edited their India e-Arrival Card after submitting it? If changes aren't allowed, did you submit a new application, or were minor mistakes accepted without issue?
I'd especially appreciate hearing from travelers who recently arrived in India and had to deal with corrections after submission.
I traveled from Australia recently and had a typo in my emergency contact phone number.
Like you, I couldn't find a way to edit the application after submission. Several travelers in another forum discussion reported the same thing. It appears that once the e-Arrival Card is finalized, changes may not be possible through the online dashboard.
In my case, I kept a note of the correction and traveled without any issues. Since the error wasn't related to my identity or passport details, it didn't seem to cause any problems.
If your passport information, nationality, or travel details are correct, the impact of a minor contact information error may be different from a major identification error.
I faced a similar situation last month before flying from Chicago to Delhi.
After submitting my Digital e-Arrival Card, I noticed that my hotel address was missing the apartment number. I spent quite a while looking for an edit option but couldn't find one anywhere in the portal.
Since the rest of the address was correct, I decided not to submit a new application. When I arrived in India, nobody asked about that specific detail, and I didn't experience any issues.
That said, your situation could be different depending on the information involved. If the mistake affects important travel details, you may want to verify the latest guidance before your flight.

My experience involved a flight date error.
I accidentally selected the wrong arrival date when completing the e-Arrival Card from Canada. After submission, the application became read-only and I couldn't edit anything.
Because the travel date was a significant detail, I submitted a new application with the correct information. I later used the updated confirmation and QR code when traveling.
I never received instructions saying which application would be used if multiple submissions existed, but I kept records of both confirmations just in case.
Requirements and system functionality can change, so it's worth checking the current portal instructions before deciding what to do.
