e-Arrival Card Submitted with Incorrect Flight Number

I’m flying to India from San Francisco next week and realized I made a mistake on my e-Arrival Card after submitting it. I accidentally entered the wrong flight number. The airline and travel date are correct, but I typed AI174 instead of AI176.

I noticed the error only after downloading the confirmation with the QR code. I tried logging back into the portal to see if I could edit the application, but I couldn't find an option to update the flight details once it was submitted.

I'm traveling on a U.S. passport with an OCI card, and I really don't want to create unnecessary complications at immigration. Has anyone else submitted an e-Arrival Card with an incorrect flight number? Were you able to edit the application, or did you have to submit a new one?

I also wonder whether a minor mistake like this is likely to cause any issues if all my other information, including passport details and arrival date, is correct.

If you've gone through something similar recently, I'd appreciate hearing how it worked out. I know procedures can change, so I'm mainly looking for real experiences before deciding what to do.

I traveled from Melbourne a few weeks ago and accidentally entered the wrong airline code on my form. Everything else, including my passport number and travel date, was accurate.

Since I couldn't edit the application, I kept copies of my boarding pass and booking confirmation with me during travel. Fortunately, nothing was questioned during my trip.

Based on my experience, it's usually better not to submit multiple applications unless you're certain the original one should be replaced. Requirements and procedures can change, so I'd verify the current guidance before making any changes.

My experience was slightly different. I was flying from London, and my connecting flight changed after I had already submitted my e-Arrival Card.

I contacted the support information listed on the official portal to ask whether I needed to submit a new application. They advised me based on my specific situation, so I followed their instructions rather than guessing.

If your departure is still several days away, it may be worth reaching out through the official support channels instead of creating a duplicate submission.

I had a similar situation while traveling from New Jersey earlier this year. I entered the wrong flight number because my airline changed my booking a few days before departure.

I couldn't find an edit option after submitting the e-Arrival Card either. Since all my personal information and passport details were correct, I kept a copy of my updated flight itinerary with me. I didn't run into any issues during my arrival, but that's just my experience and yours could be different.

If your flight has actually changed, I'd still check the latest guidance on the official portal to see whether an update is recommended.
