How Many Photos are Required for an Indian Passport?

You will need to carry two photos with 2 inches x 2 inches or 51mm or 51mm. One photo you have to paste on page 1, and another one you need to staple on the blank space, which is used for the official work later.

    The photographs should be colorful, and the file size should not be more than 100 KB each and not less than 20 KB. It should be a minimum resolution of 350 pixels (Height) and 350 pixels (width), and a maximum of 1000 pixels (height) and 1000 pixels (width).

    Here are some of the points that you need to keep in mind when submitting photos for the Indian passport application. 

     

    • You should make sure that the face is clearly visible, and the height of the head should be 1 inch to 1-3/8 inches, which is 25mm to 35mm. 
    • The face should be properly visible and balanced so that no shadows are seen on the background. 
    • Photos should be in size 51mm x 51mmand should be in colour. 
    • The photos' print quality should be higher. 
    • You should not wear any hats, masks, and your eyes should be looking into the camera while clicking photos.

      I have filled out an online application to apply for an Indian passport, for which I have filled out all the details in my application and submitted my 2 passport-size photos for a smooth process of my Indian passport.
