What are the Rules for OCI Card Holders 2025?

The some of the recent changes for the OCI cardholders in 2025 which is the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has tightened OCI card cancellation rules, which include that if the OCI cardholder is jailed for 2 years or more, their OCI card will be cancelled, if they have done a serious crime which is punishable for seven or more years, if the OCI cardholder has done a criminal offence within the five years of the time of registration, then their OCI cad will be cancelled, and if OCI cardholder has broked any Indian criminal law, or participated in any fraud activities, then their OCI card will be cancelled.
