What is OCI in lieu of lost/damaged OCI?

If your OCI is damaged or lost, then you need to apply for a new OCI card from the official OCI services government website, and then select the miscellaneous services and fill out the online application form with all the documents and submit it to the application center to maintain your safe travel and to avail all the benefits of an OCI in India.

      Here are the fees which you need to pay for the OCI card application in lieu of lost/damaged OCI, a US$100 OCI renewal fee, additionally, you need to pay $3 for the ICWF, US$15.90, VFS service charge, and other services and dispatchment fees for the OCI.

      Gather all the documents given below to apply for a smooth OCI application: 

      • You need to submit a printed and signed OCI application form. 
      • 2 recently clicked passport-sized photos. 
      • A valid copy of the current passport. 
      • A copy of the previous passport. 
      • You need to provide proof of address. 
      • Proof of Indian Origin. 
      • Fees for receipt of OCI application.

    Here is the step-by-step application process to apply for the OCI card in lieu of a lost/damaged OCI. 

    • Go to the nearest police station and report the lost/damaged OCI card. 
    • Visit the OCI services and website, and click on the OCI miscellaneous services. 
    • Select the "Lost/Damaged OCI card" option.
    • Fill out the online application by providing all the necessary details and uploading all the supporting documents for the OCI application. 
    • Pay the required fees for the online OCI application. 
    • Submit your application and send it to the nearest application center.
