Mobile App vs Website – Which Worked Better for e-Arrival Card?

I'm traveling from Singapore to India next month and need to complete the e-Arrival Card before my departure. I noticed there's both a mobile app and the official website for submitting the form, and I'm wondering which one people have found more reliable.

I usually prefer using my phone for travel documents, but I've had issues in the past with government apps crashing during document uploads. Since the e-Arrival Card requires passport details and supporting information, I'd rather avoid technical problems close to my travel date.

Has anyone completed the e-Arrival Card using the mobile app recently? Was uploading your passport and downloading the QR code straightforward? Or is the e-Arrival Card website a better option for the entire process?

I'll be traveling on an OCI card with a Singapore passport, so I'm hoping to finish everything well before my flight. I've also heard that some people switch from the app to the website if they encounter upload issues, but I'm not sure if that's common.

I'd appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Did one platform work better than the other, especially for document uploads and QR code generation?

I recently traveled from Australia and started my application on the app but finished it on the website. The app was convenient for entering basic information, but I found reviewing everything much easier on a desktop browser before submitting.

Based on my experience, both options work, but technical performance can vary depending on your device, internet connection, and browser version. Since government portals occasionally receive updates, I'd also make sure you're using the latest version of the app if you decide to go that route.

Requirements and system behavior can change, so it's worth checking the latest guidance before you travel.

My experience was the opposite. I used the mobile app while traveling from the UK because I didn't have my laptop with me. The app worked well for entering my travel details, and I used my phone's camera to scan my passport directly.

The only issue I had was downloading the QR code. It didn't appear immediately, so I later logged into the website using my application details and downloaded it from there.

Overall, both platforms accessed the same application, so switching between them wasn't a problem in my case.

I completed my e-Arrival Card through the official website before traveling from California last month, and it was a smooth experience. Filling out the form on a larger screen made it easier to review my passport details and personal information before submitting.

Uploading the passport page was quick, and I was able to download the QR code immediately after my application was processed. Personally, I found using a laptop more convenient because I already had my scanned documents saved there.

If you have access to a computer, I'd recommend the website, especially if you're uploading multiple documents.
