Hi everyone,
I'm traveling from the USA to India next week and recently learned about the new Digital e-Arrival Card requirement. I completed the form online and received a QR code, but I'm unsure if that's all that's needed before travel.
For those who have recently traveled to India, did you receive the QR code immediately after submission? Was it checked by the airline before boarding or only by immigration officers after arrival?
I'm an OCI cardholder and want to avoid any last-minute issues. Has anyone successfully submitted the Digital e-Arrival Card and traveled recently?
Any experiences or tips would be appreciated.
I flew from Toronto to Mumbai recently. The process was simple, and I received the QR code immediately. Airline staff asked if I had completed the form but didn't scan it. Immigration checked it after landing.
I traveled from New York to Delhi last month. The QR code was generated instantly after submission. Immigration officers checked it on arrival, but the airline didn't ask for it. I kept both a screenshot and a printed copy.

I traveled from London to Bengaluru as an OCI holder. The QR code was verified at immigration. I'd recommend submitting the form at least 48 hours before departure and double-checking your passport details.
