Hi everyone,
I'm traveling to India next week from the USA and recently tried completing the Digital e-Arrival Card application online. Everything seemed fine until I reached the final submit page. After reviewing my details and clicking the submit button, the page just keeps loading and never completes the submission.
I first attempted the application three days ago using Chrome on my laptop. When it got stuck, I tried again on Microsoft Edge and later on my phone browser. The same issue happened every time. I filled in my passport details, flight information, address in India, and uploaded the required documents without receiving any validation errors.
The confusing part is that I never receive a confirmation email, application reference number, or QR code. When I log back into the portal, I can't tell whether my Digital e-Arrival Card application was partially submitted or not. I don't want to create multiple applications if one is already in the system.
My flight is scheduled in six days, so I'm starting to get a little concerned. Has anyone experienced their e-Arrival Card application getting stuck at the final submit page? Did it eventually go through, or did you need to start over?
For reference, I'm an Indian-origin traveler living in California and will be arriving at Delhi Airport. Any suggestions or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
My experience was slightly different.
I was applying from Canada and the final page froze every time I clicked submit. After several attempts, I discovered one of my uploaded documents exceeded the size limit even though the portal didn't show an error message. The upload appeared successful, but the final submission never completed.
I reduced the file size of my passport scan and photograph and started a new application. The submission worked immediately afterward.
You may want to double-check:
Based on my experience, the system sometimes doesn't clearly identify upload-related issues.
I had something very similar happen last month while submitting my Digital e-Arrival Card from New York.
The application appeared complete, but the final submit button kept spinning for several minutes. I waited nearly 20 minutes and eventually closed the browser. Since I never received a confirmation email, I assumed it had failed.
The next day I logged back into the portal and discovered the application had actually been saved but not fully submitted. I had to reopen it, review all sections again, and click submit one more time. After that, I immediately received an acknowledgment and QR code.
In my case, the issue seemed related to the website traffic during evening hours. I completed the submission early in the morning and it worked normally.
If you don't have an application reference number yet, I would check whether there's a saved draft before creating a brand-new application.

I traveled to India recently through Mumbai Airport and experienced a similar problem.
The application remained stuck on the final submit page for almost an hour. I later learned that the portal was undergoing maintenance around that time. When I retried the following day, everything worked normally.
One thing I would recommend is taking screenshots of every page before submission. If you need to contact support later, having screenshots and timestamps can be useful.
Also, don't rely solely on the confirmation email. In my case, the QR code became available inside the application dashboard before the email arrived.
Requirements and processing systems can change, so it may be worth checking the latest instructions on the official portal as well.
