Hi, you can certainly buy an Indian life insurance policy. However, I am not sure if the life insurance companies provide the cardholders the life insurance and cover all the benefits. Before investing, it is recommended to thoroughly check all the details.

PIO cardholders are eligible to buy insurance in India. Along with their PIO card, like an Indian resident, they also need to provide several documents, such as a valid ID proof, proof of financial means, and residence proof, to obtain an insurance premium in India. Additionally, the paper may vary depending on the insurance type and the insurance company.

Yes, PIOs are eligible to buy insurance in India. However, the premiums and benefits of their insurance may differ from those of Indian residents. Additionally, not all Indian banks offer insurance to foreign individuals, so it is advisable to check the eligibility criteria before investing.

Yes, a PIO cardholder can buy life, accident, and medical insurance in India. However, the insurance will only be valid in India, so you cannot use it when traveling to another foreign country; for this, you need to purchase a new insurance policy for that country.

Yes, PIO cardholders can buy insurance in India when they visit the country, or they can also do so without visiting India through a mail-order business. However, I will advise you to buy the insurance when you are in India, as the insurance process from another country is too lengthy.
