Yes, OCI cardholders can stay in India for a long period as much as they want, but they have some restrictions, which are, they cannot vote in elections or hold any public offices, and they cannot buy agricultural and farming lands in India. It is prohibited by the government of India for foreign nationals.

Yes, OCI persons have the right to stay in India as much as they want, and they can also take advantage of their OCI card, like purchase residential or commercial property, equal treatment with NRIs and Indian citizens, and get equal rights in educational, financial, and economic sectors.

As per section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955, OCI cardholders have the right to live in India and are permanent residents, which allows them to live, work, or stay in India.
