Yes, you can stay in Indian for an indefinite time with an OCI card. You don't need to report to any local or higher authority for any duration of stay in India.

    Yes, OCI cardholders can stay in India for a long period as much as they want, but they have some restrictions, which are, they cannot vote in elections or hold any public offices, and they cannot buy agricultural and farming lands in India. It is prohibited by the government of India for foreign nationals.
