If your immigration application is delayed due to missing immigration documents then you can follow some measures, always check your application status by the given reference number, and always check your file for any updates in the information and corrections in the application form, if your application delay without any valid reason then you can file a legal case.

Sometimes, immigration officials do not inform you directly if any documents are missing, so it's your duty to request an update. In my case, a form was missing that delayed my visa application process. I waited a month for its processing, and lastly, when I asked the officials, they told me about the missing document.

I also faced a delay in immigration when my visa application was stuck for a month. I later found out that my visa was not scanned. Well, properly labelled documents and high-quality scans help in avoiding unknowing delays.

During my OCI application, I forgot to include a photocopy of my spouse's passport, although we were applying together. This silly mistake of ours resulted in a week's delay. So my advice to you is always include extra documents, even if they do not clearly mention it.

I received a deficiency email from immigration officials, but it was directly sent to the spam folder. Due to my negligence, I missed the 10-day reply window, which resulted in having to restart the entire application process. My advice to you is to always check your spam folder if you are waiting for updates on your visa or OCI application.

My immigration application was also delayed due to missing documents then I contacted my embassy for the delay and corrected the missing documents and my application was processed smoothly.
