A e-visa will only be valid for up to 60 days with a double entry on an e-tourist visa, e-business visa, and triple entry on an e-medical visa. If you want to extend your medical e-visa term, you need to go to the concerned FRO or FRRO. You can get an extended medical evisa for up to 6 months.
Medical e-visas can be extended for a period up to 1 year if an individual revives a medical certificate from the government or the ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), MCI (Medical Council of India), or from any recognised hospital in India.
A medical visa is eligible for a foreigner for the sole purpose of seeking medical treatment in a recognised hospital or for treatments in India. If they have a serious and valid issue and need treatment, then you are eligible to get a medical e-visa, and you will be considered under the Indian system of medicine to avail of the treatment.
