Whether an OCI Cardholder Be Entitled to Apply for and Obtain Normal Indian Passport Which is Given to a Citizen of India?

No, an OCI cardholder is not allowed to get an Indian passport because OCI is registered by foreign nationals of Indian origin who are not citizens of India. The Indian passport is only issued to Indian citizens who have not surrendered their Indian passports.

    Yes, you can get an Indian passport if you are eligible for Indian citizenship, and according to section 5(1)(g) of the Citizenship Act, 1955, an OCI cardholder 5 years who is an ordinarily resident of Indian for the last 12 months before making an application for registration is eligible to get Indian citizenship.

    No, an OCI cardholder is not allowed to get an Indian passport. It is only for Indian citizens to travel internationally. However, if any OCI cardholder wants to apply for an Indian passport, then he or she would be eligible for Indian citizenship, and after getting an Indian citizenship, they can easily get an Indian passport.

    As an OCI cardholder, you cannot get an Indian passport because it is only issued to Indian citizens who have not surrendered their passports.

    No, the Indian passport is only issued to Indian citizens. However, if you want to apply for an Indian passport, then first you need to be an Indian citizen, for which OCI cardholders need to live in Indian as an OCI cardholder in India for 5 years, and they must be an ordinary citizen of Indian before one year of the application for Indian citizenship. After they are eligible to apply for an Indian citizenship, and can get their Indian passport.
