OCI cardholders are allowed to work in India. According to the government of Indian, they have advantages that allow them to stay or work in India for an indefinite time. But in recent times, the Union Home Ministry has raised some concerns over the work benefits of an OCI cardholder.
It is hard to work in India if you are an OCI cardholder. You don't have the option to work in any government offices, OCI can only work in the private sector, which is also hard to find because Indian has over 1.4 billion youth who are searching for jobs and have a high unemployment rate.
