Yes, if you have an existing PAN card, it will remain valid, as per Sudhir Kaushik, Co-founder and CEO of Taxspanner. Your PAN card is useful, and it will be valid for your future uses.

As long as your information is correct on your existing PAN card, then your PAN card is valid because it is only made once in a lifetime, and you cannot apply for a New PAN application. But you can apply for a change in the PAN card application, which is also necessary if you have changed your details in the PAN. Changing your PAN card details does not make your PAN card invalid.

For the person who got their PAN card before the PAN 2.0, no need to worry because NSDL and the officials have stated that those who have their PAN card before will remain valid. I hope that this information will be helpful for some people.

If you have applied for a PAN card, but there are some incorrect details in your PAN card. In this case, your PAN card application is not valid because your details do not match with your original, Government-verified documents, and this will result in an invalid PAN card. Hence, you need to reapply for a PAN card with the correct details again.

A PAN card is a must-have document for an Indian individual, on which you can apply for a PAN on the official NSDL website. But if you want to apply for a new PAN card, then it is not legally approved because in India, a single person can only get 1 PAN card lifetime, but he/she can apply for a new PAN card application, in case of any lost thief, and damage to the PAN card.

A PAN card is applied for only one. If you have lost or damaged your PAN card, then you can apply for a duplicate PAN card, which is legal, but having two PAN cards for the same person is going to put you in very difficult situations. And if you don't want to upgrade your PAN card, then your PAN will remain valid, which is officially announced by the department.
