I hope I can get some help with my situation. Our original application, submitted through OCI Miscellaneous Services, was rejected with an explanation that it was submitted beyond the three-month window. We were instructed to reapply through VFS Global. Accordingly, we submitted a new application through the VFS system and paid the $47 processing fee. However, the Government of India OCI website continues to display the original application status as “Rejected,” with the rejection date of September 2. Meanwhile, the VFS tracking portal shows “Invalid Application.” Upon contacting VFS by phone, we were informed that their internal system records a rejection dated September 11, but the representative could not provide the reason. We have not received any official email notifying us of the rejection of our paid VFS application. We have been advised to contact the Embassy but have been unable to reach the appropriate department for clarification. Not sure what to do next in such a situation as I don't want to pay the fees without knowing the reason and get rejected again. Please advise
