According to me, for Indian retirees, Thailand's retirement visa for non-immigrants is a popular choice. To apply for this visa, you must be at least 50 years old and meet the financial requirements. I myself applied for this visa, and on a yearly basis, I am renewing it. When applying for the visa, you should have a Thai health insurance by your side.

For years, the Malaysian MM2H program used to be retiree-friendly for Indian nationals. However, over the years, the country has raised the income requirements for retirees. If you are able to fulfill that, then Malaysia is also a good choice for long-term visa options.

I am considering applying for a retirement visa in Bali, Indonesia. For this, your age should be 55+. Additionally, the income requirement is not as high. However, to process the visa application, you need to hire a local agent.

I recently applied for a retirement visa in Thailand. Although every year, dealing with immigration is painful, it still remains behind the high cost of India and the West. Above all, Thailand is a peaceful and affordable destination.
